Try doing simple household chores, getting out of bed or picking up your children / grandchildren without pain or injury.
Flexibility training improves posture, sleep, stability, balance, and assists with lower back and hip pain.
This is a carefully designed athletic stretch flow that should be done prior to your Recess workout (even better if done in a slightly warm or heated room). This stretch is a "flow", a mix of dynamic and static stretching that is the same every time. You will soon see your flexibility and strength increase in each stretch pose, and a noticeable difference in sleep, back, hip and groin pain, and overall better well being.
With Recess, we are doing "Conditioning" and the body performs better with this style of stretch beforehand.
However, if you were going to go out and run a marathon, play a football game or tennis match, I would absolutely recommend a full dynamic warmup using movements and exercises that mimic the sport.
The Recess Stretch is the critical part to our training and a requirement for overall health and well being.
